The Nintendo Wii is not your normal game console, while the Xbox 360 and Ps3 emphasise their impressive graphical capabilities the Wii is understated, it does not have the processing powers of the other consoles and uses a very unusual gamepad, the range of games are different, including games specifically targeted to enhance the Wii experience, theses range from educational to fitness (including the normal game genres), it has had great success since it was launched and with Nintendo limiting the build of consoles it has made it highly sought after, the Wii uses a slot loading mechanism and it accepts the Wii discs and the older GameCube discs (without the need for an adaptor, the internal memory is 512Mb and it has a standard Secure Digital card slot for additional storage and SD cards are readily available, the console is available from the high street and prices are very similar the Currys Nintendo Wii and the Debenhams Nintendo Wii both come in at around £180.00 but it is wise to shop around and see what is on offer and what extras you can get.
